To use Kiwi Budget Mate, you must sign in using a valid Google account. By creating an account, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years old, or have parental/guardian consent.
• The information you provide is accurate and up to date.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any activity that occurs under it.
• You will not share your account credentials with others.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

When using Kiwi Budget Mate, you agree to:

• Use the app only for lawful, personal budgeting purposes.
• Not attempt to access other users' data or accounts.
• Not reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute any part of the service.
• Not upload malicious files, scripts, or content to the app.
• Take responsibility for the accuracy of the financial data you enter.

We take reasonable steps to protect your data. However:

• We cannot guarantee that the service will be 100% secure or error-free at all times.
• You are responsible for keeping your Google account credentials secure.
• We recommend logging out of the app on shared or public devices.

All personal and financial data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Kiwi Budget Mate is 100% free. Every feature is available to every user at no cost — there are no subscriptions, no paid plans, and no charges to use the app.

• All budgeting, savings, bills, reports, and AI features are free for everyone.
• We do not collect or store any payment card details.
• There is no billing, no recurring charges, and no hidden fees.
• We may introduce optional paid services in the future, with clear notice — but the core app remains free.

Kiwi Budget Mate displays calculations based on the financial data you provide. We do not independently verify any data you enter. We are not liable for:

• Errors or inaccuracies in data you have entered incorrectly.
• Financial decisions made based on information displayed in the app.
• Any discrepancies between app figures and your actual bank statements.

Always verify critical financial information with your bank or a qualified financial professional.

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, Kiwi Budget Mate and its operators shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the app.
• Loss of data due to technical failures, although we take reasonable steps to prevent this.
• Financial losses resulting from decisions made based on app data or features.

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, our total liability to you in any circumstances shall be limited to NZD $20.

We aim to keep Kiwi Budget Mate available 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may:

• Perform scheduled or emergency maintenance that temporarily affects availability.
• Modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where possible.

Your use of Kiwi Budget Mate is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the app, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described therein.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
